Female veterinarians are 3.5 times more likely to commit suicide than the general population.

"Another soul crushing aspect of the job that most other health care professions don't have to deal with, veterinarians say, is being asked to perform services or give out medication for free and then being cyber-bullied or harassed if they don't." 

It's very difficult to be vilified when all we want to do is help.
